Resident Assistants Arrive for the Fall Semester
The Resident Assistant staff for the fall semester has arrived to campus this week and moved in. The Resident Assistants, or RA's, are part of our Student Services department. They work with residence life to provide services for our students that live on campus. These services include everything from counseling to arranging for activities and organizing social events. The RA's live on campus and are assigned a particular residence hall and floor. In addition, many of the RA's are RTA's, or Resident Tutoring Assistants. They are trained to tutor the incoming freshman that need assistance with Seminar in Thinking and Writing. This is a class that all freshman are required to take their first semester. The RTA's also assist instructors in the Connections course, which is a continuation of a freshman student's orientation. This class meets once per week, and the RTA's are involved in the presentation of the curriculum. Freshman are also required to take this course. We want to thank all of our RA's and RTA's for their continued support of Seton Hill, and wish them all the best this year.

Thanks for this post -- it helped me remember just how important the RA's are.
