Tennis Anyone?

The Seton Hill Tennis Programs continue to receive post season awards as the women’s team was named a NAIA-ITA All-Academic Team. Eight players from the teams were named NAIA-ITA Scholar Athletes. The list includes sophomore Jason Pugh (West Mifflin, PA/West Mifflin), freshman Melissa Berg (Fleetwood, PA/Fleetwood), sophomore Candace Bungo (Indiana, PA/Indiana), junior Adrienne Fischer (Monroeville, PA/Gateway), senior Jessica Hamilton (Cranberry Twp, PA/Seneca Valley), freshman Allie Hickman (Greensburg, PA/Latrobe), junior Meghan Kite (Scottdale, PA/Southmoreland) and sophomore Julie Pokrifka (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park).

To be eligible to be named ITA All-Academic Team, the team must have an overall GPA of 3.2 or above. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1) be a varsity letter winner, 2) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters. This award honors freshman through senior year.
