Another Busy Weekend!

If you still have not made weekend plans, there are many events happening this weekend.

On Friday, September 23, there will be a "Buy-A-Guy" Auction and dance. The event will take place at 8pm in Cecilian Hall. The funds from this event will benefit the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. A similar event was hosted last year, and provided lots of laughs and entertainment.

On Saturday, a van will depart from Lynch at 1:30pm. The van will take students to Westmoreland Mall. This is a great opportunity to get out for the day and get some shopping done.

Saturday afternoon, the Seton Hill Griffins football team will be playing away at West Liberty St. College. Kickoff is at 1:00 pm. The Griffins scored their first win last week against Ohio Dominican, and hopefully they will have the same results this week. Good Luck Griffins!

If you still don't know what to do, then maybe you might enjoy The Mt.Pleasant Glass and Ethnic Festival. Mt. Pleasant is about a 20 minute drive from Seton Hill. The annual festival runs from Friday to Sunday. There is an array of crafts, games, concerts, and food. The Poverty Neck Hillbillies will be playing Sunday evening. Sherry Spataro, a Seton Hill employee, has attended this event many times. "I love the festival. There's good food, good bands, and I love watching the glass blowing demonstrations."

Have a great weekend! Please comment if you attend any of these events.

There is also a parade in Greensburg with Penn State Band making an appearance. I am sure it will be spectacular.

Thanks for the info Jenna. Unfortunately, the SHU Football team lost their game. However, the SHU Men's and Women's Soccer Teams both won their games this weekend. The Women's team is still undefeated this year! Go Griffins!
