Holocaust Survivor Story: Dr. Robert Mendler

On Tuesday, September 20, Dr. Robert Mendler will be speaking at Seton Hill. Robert Mendler was thirteen years old when him and his family were forced into Nazi Concentration camps. During these years he spent time in ten different camps. He is now a resident of Latrobe, and travels to different schools and churches speaking about the events of his past. I witnessed his presentation during my freshman year at Seton Hill, and I have never witnessed a more moving presentation. Robert Mendler will speak in A206 at 6pm. This event is sponsored by the National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education at Seton Hill. I suggest attending this event, for Robert Mendler is a speaker you will never forget.

I understand this event was so popular that people were turned away for lack of room. I've heard him speak several times.

This is the last generation of young people who will hear about the Holocaust first-hand, from survivors. Mendler, and the NCCHE, are doing great work by spreading awareness and healing.
