Kristallnacht Service
Tonight, the National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education will be hosting a Kristallnacht Service in St. Joseph's Chapel from 6pm-7pm. Kristallnacht, or the "Night of Broken Glass," was a terrifying attack on Jewish people by the German Reich on November 9, 1938. During the night at least 96 Jewish people were killed, 30,000 sent to concentration camps, and thousands of businesses and synagogues destroyed. Seton Hill will be having a service in remembrance of this terrible tragedy.

Although I couldn't attend last night, I've attended this service in the past and thought it was very moving -- and extremely important. This is the generation of young people who will be able to hear first-hand stories from Holocaust survivors. If you haven't participated in NCCHE programs before, please take the opportunity to do so.
