Senior Sleepover

Last night was the second Senior Sleepover of the year. At the Senior Sleepover high school students visit Seton Hill and spend the night. They get a chance to spend time with current students, and see what it is really like to attend Seton Hill. I was able to learn a lot about the Sleepover from my younger sister Melissa who attended last night. I am going to write about what she did and her reactions, so that if you are considering Seton Hill you can become more informed about the sleepovers.

Melissa checked-in last night at 6:00pm. She was introduced to the student she would be spending the night with. Seton Hill tries to match students up with other students who share their interests. After meeting her host she ate pizza, attended the basketball game, went to the room she was going to be staying in, took part in a tour of the campus, and attended a drawing marathon. "Seeing all of this made me realize how exciting it would be to attend Seton Hill and live on campus. I also liked the freedom and the free food," said Melissa.

On Wednesday morning Melissa was able to attend an Art History course. Students are scheduled to attend classes that are part of their intended majors. Melissa also attended my News writing class, and was able to see the differences between high school and college classes. "College classes seem more relaxed, and the students have a more active part, which is really cool."

"I really got to see a different side of Seton Hill, which I didn't get to see form just reading brochures."

Thanks to everyone who attended the sleepover and the SHU students that hosted. It continues to be one our premier events in admissions, and grows larger each semester.
