Things About Seton Hill You Might Not Have Known...
(In no particular order)
1. Our mascot was formally the ‘Penguin’.
2. St. Mary’s Hall still has its original foundation. It is the oldest building on campus.
3. If you park in the Post Office Lot and you are not a President or Vice President or someone of importance, the chances of you getting a ticket are VERY high…take it from someone who has experience…
4. Our Lady Grotto is the most peaceful place on campus (aside from the chapel).
5. The departed Sisters of Charity are laid to rest on campus.
6. In my opinion, the 5th floor of the Administration building is one of the most resourceful places on campus…(that’s for you to find out)
7. We are a liberal arts university.
8. Seton Hill is known world wide...
9. The Dalai Lama visited campus.
10. Michele Ridge (wife of former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge) is an alum of Seton Hill.
11. The pews in the chapel are hand carved by the Sisters of Charity.
12. In Reeves Memorial Library there is a Children’s Reading Room and a Holocaust Education Resource Room.
13. In Brownlee Residence Hall, the room dimensions are 10’8’’x15’4’’.
14. Computer labs are open 24/7.
15. One of the few schools in western PA that offer Music Therapy as a major.
If anyone has anything else to add, please do!
