The World of Iraq Brought (literally) to SHU!

“Eyes Wide Open” will be exhibited on Campus in Reeves Library tomorrow (Wednesday, March 22) and Thursday, March 23rd. This exhibition will feature a pair of boots honoring each U.S. military casualty and a Wall of Remembrance to memorialize the Iraqis killed. Visit the “Eyes Wide Open” website and learn more about this organization and how this widely acclaimed exhibition on the human cost of the Iraq war; has influenced others.
I for one, can’t wait to see this exhibition!! This exhibit is unique in that it hits close to home for so many and it will definitely be a moving experience.
A panel discussion will be held Thursday, March 23rd at 7:30 p.m. in the Library with Major Richard Collage, training officer, 1st Batallion, 110th infantry, PA Army National Guard; Dr. Susan Cooley, assistant professor and program director of Seton Hill’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program; and Neil Santoriello, Gold Star Families for Peace.
This is just one of the many great features that Seton Hill has to offer! I hope to see you there!

FAFSA Deadline!

The FAFSA deadline is quickly approaching! Many questions come up while filling out the FAFSA, so we are here to help! The following is a frequently asked question that may be of help to you! If you have further questions regarding the FAFSA please visit their website. You can also visit SHU’s Financial Aid website.

“How soon after January 1 should the FAFSA form be sent in? Is it better to wait until the income tax forms have been completed?

Send in the form as soon as possible after January 1. Do not wait until your taxes are done. Although it is better to do your taxes early, it is ok to use estimates of your income, so long as they aren't very far off from the actual values. You will have an opportunity to correct any errors later. If you wait too long, you might miss the deadline for state aid. Most states require the FAFSA to be submitted by March 1, and some even as early as early or mid-February.” –FAFSA.org

Keep in mind that the FAFSA deadline is different for each state!
If you are unsure of the deadline for the state you live in, don’t hesitate to give our Financial Aid Office a call to find out!

Mexico, France and England, OH MY!

Students returned (fortunately) from their travels this past J Term. The reason I say fortunately is because they all had such a great time, they wanted to stay longer! Students visited Mexico and studied at the Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, visited the pyramids at Teotihuacan, and the colonial city of Tepoztlan. Students also studied in London how theatre structures and audiences influence the writing of plays. You can find past experiences from students at our Global Opportunities page.
Here you can see Past Student testimonials, International Internships, Volunteer Work, etc. Come and be a part of this great experiences here at Seton Hill!
