Scholarship Opportunities!

For the class of 2111, scholarship opportunities are changing here at Seton Hill! (for the better!)
For students that are in the:

Top 10% of their graduating class receive $11,000 off tuition
Top 20% receive $9,000 off tuition
Top 30% receive $7,000 off tuition

Valedictorian Students receive $12,500 off tuition, which is over 50% off!

Students that have received an 1130 on the SAT/25 on the ACT, and/or are in the top 10% of their graduating class or hold a 3.5 GPA, receive a $2,500 scholarship for the honors program.

Don’t forget students that are graduating from a Catholic high school get a $2,500 scholarship automatically!

Pretty amazing - now, is that primary or secondary aid - meaning, does it come off tuition right away, or is it applied minus other financial aid?

In response to Chris, the presidential scholarships come off tuition right away.
Ex: Tuition is $23,180/yr. If a student is in the top 20% of their graduating class, their tuition cost would be $14,180/yr - $9,000 off.
Hope this helps!

What if the high school doesnt do top 10% or anything like that. A few high schools around here, Greensburg-Salem for example, doesnt do that. It doesnt even classify the students as juniors or seniors, only as 10th grade, 11th grade, etc.

What will Seton Hill do then?

Hi Louis!
Here at Seton Hill, any high schools senior with combined SAT Reading and Math scores of 1100 or higher (ACT score of 24 or higher) and a B average or better and who does not have a class rank may compete for a scholarship based on three letters of recommendation and an essay.

This process must be completed before any financial aid package is prepared. Eligibility for these scholarships is assured for students applying before April 1 for the fall term. Those applying after that date will be considered for awards on a funds-available basis.
Hope this helps!!
