ATTENTION! The source for Freshman 15 (lbs.) is found!
If I would have known then, what I know now…we all say that! But really, look at this! A report has stated that an extra can of soda a day can add 15 lbs. in one, yes ONE year! They are also saying that increased consumption in soda is the key reason for people gaining weight. Forget about the mass quantity amounts of salad (of all things) that you receive at chain restaurants (Ex: TGI Friday’s salads, Applebee’s salads). You can feed yourself for a week off one of those things.
It isn’t the food, it is the 1 extra soda that you are consuming a day that is adding the pounds.
So tonight when I go to grab my favorite, Diet Rite, I will grab a glass of water. No freshman 15 for me! Or should I say, “post” freshman 15?

When you say "soda," I'm sure you mean "pop..."

I totally agree, and I think that SHU should help in getting students away from the "pop-a-day" by offering water at the cove as part fo the flex/meal plan. At the moment I'm pretty sure that in order to get a water with your order you need to pay for the bottled water with cash, and I know that not everyone has cash on them at all times.
