SHU's Diamond in the Rough

Seton Hill is known for its academics, athletics, small class sizes, the beautiful campus, and family oriented atmosphere, but sometimes great programs go unnoticed.
Seton Hill has a hidden treasure that often gets overlooked. It is the Seton Hill University Writing Center! This office is located on the 5th floor of the administration building and the best part is the services are FREE!
Next Wednesday, Nov. 8th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM there will be a session on how to alleviate your writing anxieties and stress. The Writing Center covers the basics but also aids in learning the difference from APA and MLA format, helps you get better organized, aids in creating the perfect thesis statement, helps you to become better acquainted with different sources on campus, and much more.
The Writing Center provides the tools to help you write that A+ paper. This is a resource center that is for all students from freshman students to seniors!

Bravo to the writing center. My first teaching experiences were in various writing centers when I was a grad student. I like to remind my students that you can visit at any stage in the writing process, and that visiting earlier will actually often be a lot more helpful than taking a near-final draft for a final proofreading check.
