Welcome ... back off campus
August 24, 2004
So, this is a little "Welcome Back" message to all of the students at Seton Hill. I hope that everyone's semester goes well and that you will continue to visit my blog. Being away from campus all summer, I'm sure some of the gossip has seemed to slip through the cracks on what would probably be catastophic findings for the bloginators.
As for the title to my blog ... back off campus ... seems to be where the sports teams will be headed in the upcoming years, according to the Tribune-Review.
In addition, Seton Hill University has expressed an interest in using the district's Offutt Field as the home field for its football team's inaugural season next year.
I guess we should have expected it. With all of the other construction that has gone on this summer I'm sure a football field wasn't first on their agenda.
By the way, how is the new dorm? Did it actually get completed on time? I can see the athletic complex from my apartment (yes, I'm actually that close to campus).
Perhaps I'll stop up some time and see you guys. I'm sure I'll make it up for sporting events and what not. Not to mention that Hands of Hope has already warned me that I will be helping out with the Night on Haunted Hill this year.
Good Luck. Keep in Touch.

Eeew, sports.
The only reason that I'll be wandering around campus this semester is two words: David Sedaris. Yup, I already have my ticket.
Oh, and I guess I have to ruin it and add a few more words: Symphonic Winds, as I'll have to go see my sister play. That only adds up to 3(?) campus visits. Mmmm hmm.

I will be attending homecoming. I would go see David Sedaris, but it's a Thursday, and I'm far away without much vacation time. Julie... you had better go to homecoming, if for nothing else than to visit with me and get some onion rings :-)
