Wrath of Me-hee-co

September 07, 2004

Ok, so I know that the title is a little mean, but I am still very irratated about my car. I was hit by a Mexican driver a couple weeks ago. I just got my pictures back and I figured I'd show the world the result of the Mexico-licensed lawncare worker's lack of road etiquette.

The quote to get it fixed is $2947. That doesn't include the loaner rental car.

Well I must say it beats having your roof bashed in by an ass with a golf club, but it still sucks. My condolences.

Well, that sure beats having someone steal a little bit of your gas everyday, drip by drop. Oh, wait, I just have a car that gets shitty mileage! Ha! Yeah, sucks to be you.

Whoa! That's alot of dinero! You should sue the
$%^# out of the Landscaping company Brian! And to add to that a little "Ouch, I have whiplash" never hurt.

Whiplash hurts like hell... I'm still recovering.

But on the lighter side, shouldn't his insurance help with paying for costs??? HE hit YOU, right? *Aie* I'm still learning this insurance stuff, but I thought that the victim was still the victim. *shrug* I could be wrong, though.

Yes. His insurance will pay for it, however it is taking forever for the money because the insurance company hasn't accepted liability yet. Apparently they can't get a statement from the driver because he doesn't know English. They are caught up with waiting for a written statement.

I just called the insurance company to check the status and the driver has yet to comply with the insurance company's request. The company is giving him a 24 hour notice and I can call back tomorrow to find out the verdict.

Good luck. You might need it *eesh*.

Brian, what's your email so I can ask you a question?

Sorry, I didn't know how to get hold of you any other way... *oops*

Posted by: Karissa at September 8, 2004 12:42 PM
