Bush laughing over Bozo controversy

Bozo brouhaha forces rewrite of humor history
Attention all kids! Bozo is a fraud. Well at least the first Bozo. Apparently according to the International Clown Hall of Fame - who knew one existed - in Milwaukee is taking down the plaque of the old Bozo and putting up a plaque to honor the even older Bozo; the first Bozo.

Good to see in time of international affairs and gas phemomena and in an election year, we have the ability to know that life still goes on in the life of clowns. It gives us that humble reminder that we too are clowns in the eye of the man to your right. And even though we may see him as a clown while he is talking like a kindergartner, he still holds the future of our country in his hands.

On a light hearted note, I know a clown. She is quite nice.

Life in a Cubicle

Well, a couple weeks into my job and I am already starting to mold into the typical little engineer. You see, every engineer, by trade, must love Dilbert. It is practically a rule. Dilbert works for a software company and has a myriad of co-workers which are just as fun as he is.

While browsing around the net, I came across this CNN article, Scott Adams: Dilbert's Ultimate Cubicle.

Is it sad that I can relate to this article? I am in a cubicle right now typing this entry (shh don't tell) and I'm staring into the corner of my cube where my monitor is. The only light is from the desk lamp and a ceiling light about 6 feet away (because I other engineers like to work in the dark, I have to too).

Get me the Dilbert Cubicle! I want all the fun features and if I had a work environment like that I would not be falling alseep because I'd be surrounded by bright colors and things which are more stimulating to the brain.

And yes ... I have 20 Dilbert comic strips hanging in my cube. I need pictures! Send me pictures! Anthing bright and work appropriate. Surprise me :)

You SHOULD feel safe driving in SW PA

Since the blogs have been up and down, I've been waiting to post this one.

Friday morning I was driving to work, when I hear from Ryan Aster, the traffic guy on the newly named B93-7, "a bus seems to be blocking traffic this morning. " There was, however, no need to worry because this bus which was transporting correctional inmates, wasn't actually blocking the traffic. It was the police surrounding the bus which were taking up a lane of traffic. Just as he says this, I see flashing lights going the opposite direction (from Latrobe towards Pittsburgh) and all I could think of was that he was going to join the scene.

The people in Pittsburgh will be safe ... to heck with us suburbians ...

On my ride home that day, I followed this incredibly slow person down Laurel Mountain. I get to the light in Ligoneir and this person is flipping a screwdriver over and over with one hand while smoking what appeared to be a joint and driving with the other. ... did I ever feel safe knowing that I wanted to pass him without him chucking that screwdriver at me.

Then to top it all off, just when I thought that I couldn't feel safe driving Route 30, on Monday, yesterday, I am going rather speedily down 219 then up and over the mountain. I get to Latrobe and I am just 2 cars behind a motorcycle. This wasn't just any motorcycle, it was royal blue with black engine parts. The man was wearing a cape! It was Batman! Riding behind the caped crusader I knew I could feel safe on my ride home. Just then he turned at the light and was gone :(

Now, while driving home, I will always think of the masked man with the cape. Hoping someday to see the bat symbol in the sky.

What ever happened to paper in a bottle?

I purchased a new Seton Hill University stainless steel travel mug as seen here in the Stanford version. Mine is silver as opposed to red and is actually quite nice, especially with my employee discount.

As I go to put coffee in the mug on my first day with the mug, I'm about to rinse it out when I find a special little note inside it.

CONGRATULATIONS! HERE ARE A FEW TIPS TO ENHANCE YOUR ENJOYMENT OF YOUR NEW STAINLESS STEEL DRINKWARE

This item was designed to keep liquids hot or cold for an extended amount of time. when drinking hot liquids, please allow to cool to a drinkabie temperature befcre sercuring the lid.

This item may include a lid-of either the press-in or crew-on type.Be careful when secruing either lid as liquid may escape via the drink hole.

Do not use bleach or cleansers containing chlorine to clean.

The typos are not from my unsteady typing hands, but from the note itself. That is only 3 of the 10 "tips" to enhance the enjoyment of the mug.

This may just be me, but who bleaches their dishes? I can see bleaching your clothes because you don't eat off of them, but your dishes?

"Sercur" ... isn't that one of the new lyrics by that person who made 'skerred' popular?

The last one must be for the McDonald's users out there "Caution: Hot liquids will increase temperature of exterior wall."

How can the public be so dumb?

Just when you thought that SHU couldn't produce anything ...

Yahoo! Sports - NBA - Inside Dish: Czech center Chan is a worth checking out

Everyone was talking about the athletic debate and how the football would never be any good. Look at what Seton Hill has going for it with Men's Basketball. Who would have thought huh?

Do you think this will change how the athletic department deals with its male basketball players if something like this happens to the team?

Wouldn't it be nice if we got more funding this way somehow?
