Assimilation By Sherman Alexie

This essay is about an indian woman who cheated on her husband who happened to be of a different race. the ironic thing about it is that she loves her husband very much but she still cheated on him.
My agenda item is that do you think the woman really meant what she did and should she have been forgiven for what she did?

From Notes on the state of Virginia by Thomas Jefferson

This is a paper that was written by Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States which talks about slavery back in the days and all what slaves had to go through, what they were allowed to do and what they were not allowed to do. It kind of like gives a brief history of how slavery was back in the days.
It was kind of confusing to me because his opinions were kind of awkward. I could not really tell what Jefferson’s reaction was to the whole idea about slavery. In my own opinion, I think he felt that it was best if slavery was temporarily removed rather abolished immediately.
My agenda item is that do you think Jefferson's ideas and opinions were right?
