Porphyria's Lover

I'm seriously starting to question Browning's relationship with women. I remember reading "My Last Duchess" and being a bit creeped out, this one seems similar. I'd be curious to read some of his other work.

The story, in Prophyria's Lover progresses really well, drifting from a description of the setting, to a description of Prophyria's physical appearance, to who who she is to the very abrupt "and strangled her." It voice seemed to move from distant to intimate, up until the strangulation.
