The Yellow WallPaper

I Liked this story. When I first started reading it I couldn't understand why he wouldn't change the wallpaper. He said if he did, she would be bothered by something else. She starts to think that he and Jennie are acting weird, and that perhaps it is the wallpaper.
"I have watched John when he did not now I was looking, and come into the room suddenly on the most innocent excuses, and I've caught him several times looking at the paper." She doesn't want anyone but herself finding the pattern. The wallpaper seems to be making her more paronoid.

Do you think the author wants us to explain the protagonist's experiences by diagnosing her as paranoid?

Why do you suppose it makes her more paranoid? Do you think maybe it is because that is all she has to think about?
take a look at my site and tell me what you think?
