We the Media Intro, CH 1-2

This book is a whole lot better than It Ain't Necessarily So. It is not biased towards any paper, it is more mellowed out adn interesting and intriguing to read. I enjoy how he incoporates some history about journalism into the chapters and his introduction. Gilmore also talks about how he has grown as a journalists just like journalism is growing and expanding every year.
"Journalism is a conversation," Gilmore said. I dont know if he was trying to point to the blogging he mentioned in the first chapter or just in general. Well, it works well with both points. We blog all the time and have conversations about journalism. Journalism in itself is a conversation. You write an article to inform the reader about a situation, topic, event, etc., as if you were one on one.
Journalism is changins along with technology as well as using technology to write journalism. Weblogs, forums, mail lists, internet radio is all new "architecture for tomorrow's news and information." These are the new ways of retrieving information. Before you know it, we will have no newspapers and everything will be online. The people that write on forums, weblogs, and talk on the internet radio are that much closer to journalism than you think. Just watch and see.

I think this is going to be a great book.
