Portfolio 2

This is my second blog portfolio for EL150. This second half we read a lot of interesting stories and articles that sparked discussion on the blogs and in class.

COVERAGE:
Blank Verse: This blank verse I wrote is about English majors. I like it.

Foster CH 11 and 13:
Foster always amazes me with his ways of pointing out subtle things in literature, especially political symbols and meanings.

Academic Article Levin: I used this article in my critical essay for Antony and Cleopatra with the power Cleopatra held in the play.

Academic Article Simonds:
This article tells how the reader expects Antony to come back from his downfall and do something amazing. It never really happens.

Academic Article Hall: I enjoyed this article because it explains reasoning for the two sides. All the things they did was due to their definition of heart.

Academic Article Bowers: I also used this article for my paper. It talked about how Caesar used his power against other powers and how he was lucky in a way.

Truss CH 1:
How I love grammar.

Truss CH 2: I love it soo much.

Truss CH 3: I really do.

Curious Incident 1: The second time around I really understood this book more and noticed things I didn't before.

Curious 2

Diamond 1: This book was probably one of the most confusing books I have read. But, it was only confusing in the beginning.

Diamond 2:
Things began to clear up for me during the middle.
Diamond 3: I understood the whole plot and story line by the end. It was weird to see how all the different stories in the beginning pieced together.

Hayles Article

Resurrection Blues 1: I really enjoyed this book a lot mroe than Death of a Salesman.

Resurrection Blues 2: this part of the book gets interesting and I didnt want to put the book down so I kept on reading. Women are very persuasive, especially with weak men in power.

Resurrection Blues 3: I really enjoyed how the book ended. I thought it was great to see how many different views of the crucifixion there were and then how many changed their position and wanted Charley to stay up and not come down.

Wit
I really enjoyed this book. It probably was my favorite one of the whole year. Vivian really showed Donne in her wit.

TIMELINESS:
ALL UNDER TIMELINESS

DISCUSSION:

Academic Article Simonds This blog we talked a little on my blog and more in class about whether or not we could pick out who the good character is. This was a great discussion we had in class.

Curious Incident 1 On this blog we talked back and forth about Haddon showing instead of just telling the readers what is going on. We all seemed to enjoy that a lot.

Curious Incident 2 This blog I wanted to start a discussion about symbols with the pet rat and dog to see if anyone of my peers thought they symbolized anything.

Resurrection Blues 2--Discussion on Andy's Blog This discussion was about Stanley and whether or not he was like Charley.

Resurrection Blues 3 I asked my peers if they wondered if Charley should have stayed up in heaven or if he should have come back down.

WILDCARD:

Critical Essay
This was my essay about power in Antony and Cleopatra, especially on the aspect of 'Godgame'.
