EL 266: American Lit 1800-1915 Textbooks (Jerz)

Students: you are welcome to purchase these books through SHU's bookstore rather than here, but I'm offering these links as a convenience.

Optional Purchase:

If you'd rather purchase an inexpensive book than print out a whole novel from an e-text, you might consider the following:

EL 250: Major Writers & Genres -- Drama as Literature Textbooks

Students: you are welcome to purchase these books through SHU's bookstore rather than here, but I'm offering these links as a convenience.

See complete course information on the course website.

New Required Books (replacing Gwynn anthology):

[Gwynn dropped.]

Optional Purchases: The following texts are freely available online or in libraries. I don't require any specific edition of these works, but if you'd like an inexpensive paperback edition, here are some suggestions.

EL 227: Newswriting Textbooks

Students: you are welcome to purchase these books through SHU's bookstore rather than here, but I'm offering these links as a convenience.

Warning: The fourth item is a workbook with write-on, tear-out pages; a used copy won't be acceptable, even though Amazon will be happy to sell you one.

Optional: This last item is available in PDF form. It's a bit of a pain because you have to download and print out each individual chapter, but if you're willing to do that, you can save yourself the price of the book. If you'd rather have the physical book, you can buy it here.
