Jerz: EL150 (Intro to Literary Study)

30 Mar 2007

O'Connor (Choose One of Three)

I will divide up the class, so that you each read (and blog about) one of the following:

1) "The Artificial Nigger"
2) "Circle in the Fire"
3) "A Late Encounter with the Enemy"

I want to make sure that we have more time to spend on the last two stories in the collection, so we're skipping a few and tripling up here.

When you post your agenda item, make it clear which story you're writing about, so that your peers can easily find others who have posted on the story they have read.

Dr. Jerz,
Do you want us to just pick one of the three stories, or are you still planning on assigning us the stories? I wasn't sure if you realized we forgot to do this in class, or if you just wanted us to pick the story on our own.

Whoops, I did forget to divide up the class.

Okay.

A-G are in group 1, H-N are in group 2, and O-Z are in group 3.

Uh... Am I the only one who did "The Artificial Nigger"? Because it's almost 10 0'clock, so I'm starting to get a little worried. I don't want to be alone!

Posted by: HallieGeary at March 29, 2007 9:47 PM

Hallie, it does indeed look like you were the only person to publish an agenda item on that story. (Don't worry, it won't hurt your grade, since there aren't any entries for you to post comments on.)
