Because of the snow, this month your portfolio will simply be:

1) Lab Report (16 pts)

A short article that covers the contributions to the paper that aren't visible to someone who reads it. Did you do copy-editing, help post the online edition, help distribute papers, sell an ad, etc. this month? If you wrote an article, that's great, but this assignment is designed to encourage you to help out the paper in other ways. Write it in third person (as if you are a reporter covering this story), and include quotes from three sources. (Length: 400 words. Here is a handout on news writing.)

2) Update on podcasting exercises (5pts)

Update what you wrote for Ex 2, so that it includes your experience with the "Recording & Editing Practice" that would have been due last week if the snow hadn't canceled class. (Length: one or two paragraphs.)

3) Ideas for your own podcast (2pts)

Length: A sentence or two is enough.

4) Ideas for your work on one of the class projects (the high school journalism judging, or continued work with the online handouts that we started creating last term). (2pts)
