Jerz: Media Lab (EL200)

Course Overview

Welcome to EL 200, "Media Lab."

The course website is located at http://blogs.setonhill.edu/DennisJerz/EL200. I will update the online syllabus periodically, so the printout I give you is only for your convenience on the first day of classs. The offical version of the syllabus is the online version (though I will notify you in advance of any significant changes).

Topics for today:

  • Preview syllabus.
  • This course is a skills and leadership class...
  • ...intended to support the long-term good of the Setonian

Note: The front page of the course blog only shows the main class topic and the main readings scheduled for that day. To get a full list of the lesson plan for any day, click on the date on the calendar.

As always, this course has a practical component, by which students earn credits for working on production of The Setonian. Writing articles or taking pictures do not count as lab work; rather, this class focuses on the behind-the-scenes work, without which there would be no paper for the writers or photographers to publish their work.

In addition, this semetster EL200 will focus on podcasting.
