Haha, I was amazed by the availabilty of the professors here at Seton Hill. I've already noticed, some professors answer emails at their own homes at late evening hours. I mean I'm totally grateful for that but, if I were one, there would be no reply to emails after I left the campus. So I think what professor do for education purposes is amazing. Although when students have demanding emails like asking for notes for class. I would feel my job is more like a babysitter than an educator. Sometimes students take advantage of the new emailing fad which can be too much of a hassle rather than a convienient way of contact.

With all the New Media that constantly works and recieves around the clock, unlike our sleeping heads, the solution is simply to set guidelines at the first class.

The professor should tell the students the e-mail guidelines for the class. "Only use e-mail, if you are going to miss class due to an illness or emergency. You can only miss 2 classes so keep that in mind"

Maybe that isn't a perfect example, but it sets guidelines for student professor interaction. Since it seems students are forgetting what is curtious behavior.
