I feel that the professor was bullied by her students, while her underclassmen got a kick out of slamming her she recieved a pink slip right out of her job. Words hurt no matter where they come from, I think that nobody carries the right to slam another person regardless of what they have done.

I think there is a clear boundary between oral criticism and recorded criticism. Obviously because there is a record for one, but also no matter how long the issue has been over, addressed, and punishment has been given out, it's going to linger in the world wide web for a long time. Both the professor and the students were wrong in all aspects of recording their critical thoughts whether it was through blogging, online journals, or email. Not only are those comments probably still posted, but so is the article.
