Whether a system meets it's intended purpose.

Dr. Jerz,
I am glad we discussed this topic in class. It made much more sense to me once it was explained.
My acquisition style is when the language is communicated back to me. To just sit down and read something,I do not absorb the information as I would being taught by someone.

I'm glad to hear that, Jeremy. The other day I wrote on Erin Waite's blog that one of the biggest challenges of being a teacher is learning how to adapt my teaching style, using as many different kinds of teaching as possible, so that students with different learning styles can learn. Of course, if that means repeating the same lesson over and over again during class, the problem is that you can cover less and less material. That's why I encourage you to read each other's blogs, because a student who's struggling with the material could theoretically read the blog of every student in the class, and then get 15 or 20 different "what I got out of this reading" messages, while a different student who "GETS IT" right away can instead spend the time writing a more in-depth discussion.

I'm glad you've shared this detail with me, Jeremy. If more people tell me that something I did was helpful, I'll keep doing it more often.
