The reading was long, and dry. To paraphrase what was said I think it went along the lines like, take the word "blog". Break it down and analyze into seperate components. Give it rules to abide by and then state each rule, define them.
The base of "conduit" are the rules of communication. We can not go beyond them or else we loose the listner.
The "meme" is the cultural half of communication.

Instead of paraphrasing it, can you take one of the claims it made, and apply it to the MySpace or Facebook cultures (which did not exist when the article was written)? Are its claims still valid now that so many people are online doing things that are very different from what the bloggers were doing just a few years ago? Bloggers write their own thoughts and respond to the published thoughts of others, but Facebookers create and join groups, and use their online space as a way of managing their social interactions in the real world.
