Course Overview (posted 30 August 2004)
Welcome to American Literature, 1800-1915.
Today we will walk through the syllabus, look at the major components of the course grade, and spend a little time getting to know each other.
We'll also dive right in with a bit of a history lesson, so that we're ready to begin exploring the early 19th century.
The paper syllabus that I hand out on the first day of classes is a convenience for students. The official syllabus is located on the course website, at blogs.setonhill.edu/DennisJerz/EL266/2004. I have set it up so that you can post comments to each individual item on the syllabus.
