Welcome to Dust Jacket
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, by Mark Haddon
Hello, Class of 2009! My name is Karissa Kilgore. I'm a student at Seton Hill University, and I'm helping to facilitate this blog we're calling "Dust Jacket."
Who's the "we" I'm talking about? Well, I'm working with faculty (specifically Dr. Jerz) to help you learn more about the book you've been assigned to read before coming to Seton Hill in the fall for your first semester at the University.
That's the whole purpose of this blog--helping you. We'll discuss relevant topics and themes within the book, and even take a deeper look at some things just by asking questions.
I'm just getting through the book, myself, so be sure to add your thoughts by clicking "Comment" below any entry. This entire blog is dedicated to YOU, so feel free to give feedback and suggestions.
Great start, Karissa.
Karissa is such a dedicated blogger and an all-around helpful person that she volunteered to take the helm. I'm looking forward to what she has to say about the book, and I hope that anyone else -- incuding faculty and staff members, or anyone else whom Google throws this way -- will feel free to join in.
In my contributions on the blog, I'll try to pace myself to where Karissa is in the text.
By the way, Karissa suggested "Off the Shelf" for this blog title... should we change it? My wife wouldn't give me her opinion when I suggested the two titles.
I listen to an audio program called the "Infinite Mind" (NPR); it has two programs on Asperger's Syndrome. here's the link:

Karissa this is Katie-Amanda's sister. She showed me this site to get ready to read this book before school starts. I go to orientation this Saturday so I will get the book then. Thanks again for having this site. Hope to see ya at school soon!
