Unfortunately, the Terri Schiavo case is still going on, as I found another article on Fox News, and it’s not looking good for poor Terri…
”Emergency Stay Issued in Schiavo Case”
In case you haven’t heard, Terri Schiavo was brain damaged fifteen years ago, and needs a feeding tube to survive (she can breathe on her own). Her husband, Michael Schiavo has continually been trying to remove her tube, because he said that she didn’t want to be kept alive by artificial means (even though there’s no writing to prove that). Terri’s parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, want their daughter to live. In October 2003, Terri went without food and water for six days until Florida Governor Jeb Bush pushed a law (which the Florida Supreme Court struck down as unconstitutional) through to have the tube reinserted. Although the appeals court cleared the way for Michael Schiavo to have his wife’s tube removed, Judge George Greer ordered an emergency stay blocking the removal of the tube until tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5:00 EST.
I can’t believe the court gives this (expletive – I can’t call him a man, because he isn’t one) custody over this woman, even though her parents desperately want to keep her alive! It’s so incredibly stupid that this is even an issue. I find it extraordinarily ironic that Jeb Bush, the GOVERNOR, had to intervene to save her life. I am against assisted suicide – One reason (in addition to the fact that the Catholic Church prohibits it) is that it leads to euthanasia (another thing the Catholic Church is strongly against): Where someone can simply wish to end someone’s life because they believe that the person “isn’t going to get better,” or doesn’t want to spend the money on their “loved” one. I remember reading an article in Reader’s Digest several years ago about a doctor in the Netherlands who pulled the plug on approximately eight patients simply because he needed the bed space and (in his opinion) they weren’t going to get any better. This is what will happen if this sort of example becomes more and more permitted. And once more, once again (as already shown in the example of abortion), our weakest members of society suffer at the hands of the stronger (and might I add, compassionless) ones who have no concern for anyone else except covering their own hides.
Needless to say, it should be mentioned that Michael Schiavo has been CHEATING on his wife with another woman – AND HAS ONE KID AND ANOTHER ON THE WAY from her!!! (This is a fact – I’m not exaggerating.) Can anybody here say: LIFE INSURANCE?!?! He doesn’t give a darn about his wife – All he wants is the money for his other family, while her parents HAVE REPEATEDLY OFFERED TO PAY TO KEEP HER ON LIFE SUPPORT. That scummy, cowardly, abominably selfish ANIMAL!!! Terri’s parents want him to divorce their daughter, and he can’t even do the ‘decent’ option (since he’s already abandoned her for this other woman) and divorce her, and hand custody over to her parents. Noooo, of course not, because he’d be handing over a nice insurance check that could be used for his own personal expenses…I don’t have words to express my fury for this dishonorable, wretched-excuse-for-a-human-being. So much for taking care of her “in sickness and in health.”
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Michael Schiavo earns the “(Expletive) of the Year” award…
