I have 2 issues one while the songs are degrading how much of that is based on true feelings produced from experinces with people who excemplifiy these scenarios. Which i believe some of this culture is surounded by women who represent some of these attitudes. The second is the women in these videos are they subjecting themselves to degradation or are they just using their assets to make money. This is a theme which pervades much of society and will never be eradicated and will change from time to time and along with cultural perspective. I do not agree with the message portraid by the music but i do agree with the rights of the women to use wha they mama gave em. But seriosuly the expression of sexualtiy and its apeal i believe when healthy is something which should not and cannot be taken away from life. I stress healthy the current situation is not healthy atleast in music. Contrary i think athletics have made a vast amount of progress in this area in recent years
Aside from the imapct this has on the family and the moral ethical relgious values it breaks which are obvious. What i gained from this essay was how to change peoples perception through not shock and awe (like michale moore) but using more suttle techniqies which lie close to peoples heart. She didnt come out and bashing peoples head in about her rights and feelings with a grungy sterotypical attitude which turns people off. She presented herself as the american home maker like mrs cleaver. Some might say she sold out but that was just her. she could get people to listen to her because althoguh what she had to say was offensive the way she said it she got alot more people to listen and i tihnk alot more people to undertand and think it over. instead of forcing people to form and opinion immedialy throguh rash statements her message was subdued allowing people to mull it over themselves.
This is my favorite story, it fits right in line with what i believe that hard work is what determins your opportunities. Only the smallest percent of children across the counrty and across the world are handed everythign on a silver plate. But their family has earned that luxury and thoes children should take full advantge of that if that fullfills them. for the rest of us its all about work and if you have the drive and desire you can succed. Trung has proven that you can succed comming from the worst situation imaginable. What luxruy no what little nesseities did he have and he far out succed some us who have been give opportunites which he cannot even imagine.
While this essay may have rung true in the time it was written it seems to be unaplicable to todays schools. With the building of lage school districyts there has been a intentional move towards educational diversity. Within these large wealthy school districts there is also ample opportunity for lower income families to reside. while some students at certian schools do have better educational opportunities that is not to say that students at other schools are at a disadvantage. Is it really even the edcation or the enviroment which these students come from that provides them with more opportunity. Where ever one finds themself in life they have earned it.
The american dream the lure of wealth and fame just around the corner. While this stroy certialy is a picture of jsut that the American Dream it strays not that far from the truth. Sometimes your wealth comes by way of hard work and the sweat of your brow, other times by luck. But i think this story also stressed that you cant wait idoly for luck to find you you still have to go out and try and some are rewarded for trying. But dont count on it.
