That is a VERY good question. I often find myself wondering why we're busy sending millions of dollars all over the world when we are trillions of dollars in debt and have hungry people all over our own country. I think a lot of the reason we do this is because we are the only super-power in the world and we need to continue to prove our status by looking so rich. I think the reason that most countries don't send us money is maybe because they are jealous of our power or for the simple reason that they feel we don't need their help. We act as if we're the best, so if we are, why should we need their help? (I don't literally believe that, I am just saying what they could be thinking).

I think that as the United States is a large country in the sense of money and power we (the united states that is) feel that it is our duty to send money and help those in need. However other countries I think don't get involved with the U.S. problems (ie 9/11) because there are sooo many other countries and groups that hate us that those who are willing to support us are afraid of being the next target.

Well because the U.S is the best place on earth other countries come to us for help because we are #1. The U.S helps other countries so whenever they are in a jam, other counries might help us.

The US does not care about anyone else but ourselves. Why do we think we are "helping" people out when we r only bothering them and we have enough things in American to worry about then to worry about other places. The President is the president of the United States, he needs to freakin help us out before other people... we have enough freakin problems here!!!!!! We really need to stop bullying every other country... cause all we do is think we are bigger and better then everyone else... we r cocky as all hell, its rediculous and it needs to stop!
