THOREAU 2
CHAPTER 13
stanza 5
Cleaining bricks is really miserable. I have had the unfortunate expierence of dealing with this. In present time we use harsh chemicals and rubber suits and it is still nessecaery to touch it up a bit the old fashioned way when it is done. This miserable process was created to stop people form having to do what old thoreau had to so it was obviously even worse. It just show that he is truly behind his ideals i know this isnt the most amazing thing he did a long his course but this one has bloodied my knuckles and hits home.

THOREAU
"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."
Well this guy sure knows what he wants. Even if it seems crazy he is trying to figure out what this rock is all about. I have to say thats pretty darn interesting to have both the courage ability and lack of any pressing schedule of any kind. So why not wonder around the woods spouting off tasteful insights and looking down upon what is considered to be normal. His pedestal walk through depravity doesnt impress me.
