Here's what bothers me...when 9/11 happened everyone said one of the following statements....1) How could this happen to us...2)Why would someone do this to us....3)How did this happen...4)Don't we have protection...
To those that asked at least #4 you got your protection...The Patriot Act was passed and now we are all under the eye of the government.
Agenda Item- If privacy is such a big issue then why must Americans know every detail that occurs in other countries that do not like us? Why must we know the whereabouts of a man in the mountains some hundreds of miles away when we feel that Bob Smith down the road should not be looked into eventhough he is actually planning an attack on a US. Building...Because this act was put on Americans it now goes against our freedoms...but if it was passed in Iraq no one would care...Aren't we a bit selfish...
I think you brought up a very interesting point and your examples made it even more obvious. We really need to take our focus off of everyone else and put it on ourselves.

I think your right in saying we should worry about ourselves and not so much about the other countries. They deserve their privacy from us as does the US from them. The US should focus more on the problems here in the US. The US has enough problems here. The US should sort out its own problems before they go into some other country and not give the other countries there privacy on whats going on in their counrty.

I love (sarcasm) how in this country we have to know when somebody important from another country is going to the bathroom (again sarcasm) but we neglect to tell our own people what's happening in this country.
