The Bachelor, an admission

I'll admit it, I watched the finale of The Bachelor tonight. I don't usually follow the show outside of seeing all of the media coverage, but I normally catch the last hour of the last episode to see the good stuff.

And this time it was really good. First off, the quarterback guy seems like a reasonable human being. He didn't propose to anyone, which was nice. I think it's hasty to get engaged to someone on a reality show, but then again, that's just me.

However, the best part had to be when the Blonde Not Chosen (hereafter, BNC) got really nervous, cried all day, and then tossed her cookies in the bushes before the rose ceremony. I could've done without the sound effects, though.

Then, when BNC was rejected by Mr. Quarterback, she talked back and told him that he shouldn't have said and done all those things on their last date if he wasn't going to pick her. I applaud her backbone, and now have to wonder about Mr. Quarterback. I wonder if he had some explaining to do to the winning blonde... Hmm.

Anyway, for once the special rose ceremony didn't seem entirely scripted. In fact, BNC was actually late and mixed up the order of events because of her penchant for puking.

Hot dog for life unscripted!
