Mute commuter

My break is over, and I'm back in the habit of commuting to and fro...

My car is still not cooperating. I think I need to renegotiate the contract with my Kizmobile. I mean, a few days off--fine. But almost a month?! Really, I just wish my car would be reasonable and respond to all the work my grandfather is putting into it... He's giving it some serious TLC.

In other news, I think I'm combatting my yearly bout of laryngitis. Didn't waste anytime, did we, old Voice-Snatcher? So I'm rendered nearly mute for a little while. Maybe I just need to laugh really hard like I did last year. *shrug*

Honestly, though, I cannot wait to move back on campus this semester. Being a commuter (even for merely work purposes) has its pros and cons; however, I wouldn't give up being a resident for anything. I've got my own room, so that'll be nice, and I'm hoping to hear about my RA application for next year shortly :) Wouldn't that be nice?

So 2005 is looking up.
Except for my car... but at least I ought to have my laryngitis out of the way!

I am so excited you are moving back on campus! Slumber partttttty! My car was being a piece of crap to. We just replaced a computer in it for $116! Yikes! I hope you get the RA position too. I'll come over all the time like I started to last year when I was in Brownlee. When you are living on campus, I can drive you around in my VW if you need anything!

Karissa, I'm probably very late in telling you this but: Your site looks soooo cute! I love the links graphic.. how did you do that? nice!

Hey its so funny that I just got on line and read your blog. We seem to be having the same stuff going on. I'm coming back too! Yay! Well, as long as something else doesn't come up. I have to agree with you about the commuting thing. I totally miss living on campus and I really miss the hill. I am also having problems with my car too. Its a piece a crap if I say so my self. Every time I turn around there is something going wrong with it. Hopefully I won't have to drive it too much once we are back at school. Anyways, I am really glad that you are going to be back on the hill. Hopefully I will see you around. :)

Stef- you can totally hang out in my dorm: RA or not!

Mike- I think it's hysterical that you called me "K-dawg." LOL! (well, not "out loud," because I still can't talk... oh well!)

Moira- thank you! I can show you how to do the link-hover if you'd like :) It'd be my pleasure. This kind of thing really makes me happy for some insanely dorky reason...

Sue-!!! I'm so glad to hear from you! You're coming back on campus, too? That's wonderful news. I'm sure that we'll have lots to do, but the feeling of being back will ease so many tensions in life right now (I know it will for me!).

Everyone- Cars suck. I think I'm starting to look for a new one. If anyone has any tips on inexpensive (under $7000), used, automatic (prefferably NOT Ford) cars/SUVs could you please let me know? Thanks in advance :)

Fix-Or-Repair-Daily. FORD.

Feel better, Karissa. I am so happy that your yearly bout of the nasties hit early in the year. Now you have smooth sailing...
