Testing, testing--is this thing on?

All nerves aside, I think I did okay.
So yeah, maybe my brain is on :-)

I had my first History of Western Art test today, and needless to say, I was a little nervous. Typically I don't think I'm a perfect test-taker anyway (thus my not-what-I-wanted score on my SATs and whatnot) but I get the grades that I want eventually with other assignments.

However, I'd never had an entirely visual test before--so this was a new kind of concern. I don't have the best memory to begin with, so memorizing things is totally pointless. I gotta learn the stuff to have it in me.

This weekend I got flashcards together (thanks to Athena for the pics!), made a ridiculously thorough timeline, and studied in spurts. Mike said he thought I'd do okay--that I was studying in the right way for this type of test. Well good because I never did this before. I haven't had an art class of any sort since 7th grade!

I also didn't want to go overkill, but I do admit that I was worried. All this goes back to me trying to relax a little this semester--trying to -not- be such a perfectionist and just chill out more.

So far so good. And I'm feeling good, too...

I am so proud of you, Karissa. So proud. I am sure you tested wonderfully.

Thanks, Amanda. I need a boost of confidence every once in awhile, like anyone else.
