Transitional phrases of life

If I could get to the drawer where my camera is, I'd show you a picture of my room right now... I never anticipated having mountains of books collected in my tiny space, but here I am.

I'm finishing papers for the semester--and my degree. Just a few more assignments stand between me and graduation. I'm trying my best, but knowing that I have to move immediately afterwards and start up a new job is kind of distracting.

Today I'll give the last presentation of my undergraduate career in my art history class.

After that, it's all papers. And that's why I can hardly move in my room without stubbing my toes on books. I'm grateful to those who've heard my pleas for material in critical theory... even though those are some of the most imposing books in the stacks. I guess when libraries and databases fall short friends come in handy.

Anyway, it's two weeks away. I'll be honest--I can't wait to graduate. Not that I don't love Seton Hill, or my friends, or the time I've had here... no, those things are still held dear. But I can take memories with me and keep in touch.

At the moment, I'm being called to bridge the gap between one chapter of my life and the next. I was thinking about transitional phrases and sentences when I was writing the other day--trying to get my paper to flow--and it made me think of the kinds of transitions I'm making (and will have to make) once I graduate. It might be difficult at first, but oh how ready I feel...
