Camera and the Beast
I cashed in on the extra warranty I bought on my old digital camera (the Kodak that wasn't even a year old and stopped transferring photos and videos around March). Office Max has a terrific program--and considering the poor customer service I experienced with Kodak, I have to say I was impressed with Office Max's.
Regardless, I mailed back my old camera, got a giftcard in the amount I paid (and the tax), and Tuesday I purchased a new one. (While I waited for the giftcard in the mail I shopped around online--that turned out to be a great idea because I saved a bundle on the memory card by showing them my notes on what I'd seen. They looked it up and gave me the online price!) It's an Olympus FE-240, it's tiny, and it's amazing. It doesn't have the zoom capability of an SLR, but it's really great for such a tiny device. Needless to say I'm glad to have a camera again--what with having moved and gotten a new puppy, I have so much I could be taking pictures and movies of!
So of course I tested my camera out on my dog, Trixie. But, as you'll see in the video below, she wasn't so fond of it... (Keep in mind that I had to take down the quality of the video to get it to a small enough size to upload to YouTube. The quality is really much better.)
