The Blogs are Back in Town

I've felt somewhat deprived in recent days, wanting to blog and not truly being able to. Most folks wouldn't complain, but I've never been "most folks," so why start now?

Not having comments available was really disheartening since, instead of checking back to see if someone commented on an entry, I knew for a fact that no one could comment on any of my entries whatsoever. Only positive in that was no new spam...

I'd like to commend Dr. Jerz on completing the task of moving ISPs and upgrading to MT 4.0 without incident (at least from what is visible and/or unspoken). While I'm partial to the old interface for MT, I do have to say that the newbies might catch on a bit sooner (since the very first MT I experienced, as I recall, was somewhat user-hateful... or at least it seemed to strongly dislike people who didn't hit "save" every five seconds on unreliable computers).

Personally I don't know how you made it through two weeks of school without student bloggers, Dr. Jerz. What did you talk about?

No, really--what did you talk about? ;)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the new onslaught of academic blogging since I might be able to lurk and enjoy! :-P

My freshmen are busy enough learning J-Web, Turnitin.com, and (for the Basic Comp students) MyCompLab, so I just shifted things around.

Awesome. I just wondered. :)

I agree! For a while I felt like I was going through a dry spell with my blog... but then, once they went down, I found myself missing it! It was a nice break that has rejuvenated my urge to blog.

Thank you, Dr. Jerz!

Ditto on the thanks to Dr. Jerz. I actually have to blog for my Press Ethics course and I'm glad to be doing it on -my- blog, not one that I had to make up for some class on blogger or something.

This is quite a relief.
