A note to undergraduate midterm exams/projects:

You've got nothing on graduate midterms.

Nothing, save the classes for which I'm completing these midterms, could have truly prepared me for this. So, I'm just trying to have fun with things. At least I already know how to cite things in APA. :) And I also feel like the readings I've kept up with and prep work I've done for the projects has gotten me somewhere... I'm moving in the right direction.

But these still kick the pants off of anything I've had before.

I remember feeling like the skills that used to set me above the pack are now necessary to keep up with it. But you're surrounded by peers who are as dedicated and focused as you are, to that's to be expected. It doesn't make the shock any easier to take, though!

Well, I don't think I would call it shock... The way I see it, this is more like going from the minors to major league so the work is the somewhat the same but the intensity is higher. I just think it's funny to reflect on my experiences with previous midterms... I never really got too frazzled (finals are a different story), but what I'm highlighting is this as a new (welcome) experience.
