Thank God it's not mono
I thought I was dying yesterday, honestly. Couldn't get warm, and it was 90º outside. Then I couldn't cool down and I was cooking ice packs on my forehead. Sleep was infected with restless dreams and plagued by sore bones. I woke with a headache, finding my sheets plastered to me with sweat, and took more painkillers before rolling over.
Yesterday the doctor did three tests, the first two were negative, but it took longer for the blood test to pan out. Worth the wait, though, because I do not have mononucleosis... even though I have all of the symptoms... and then some. Because today the nausea hit. And the stuff in my nose that won't budge. (I thought that was the best way to describe that without being too gross.)
What really bites is that this past week and this coming week are my aggrandized "Weeks of Summer," since the last nine weeks were eaten by nine credits, and (hopefully) I will start my new job on the 28th. I've been goinggoinggoinggoing since January... having done 18 credits since then... so maybe my body is demanding some (more) rest.
But at least it's not mono. Now I can focus on beating this dang virus. I hope to break my fever soon. The doctor said it's most likely viral, so antibiotics won't work. So I get to wait this sucker out.

Yes, your body is telling you to take it easy. Best wishes.

Too often, we ignore the warning signs our bodies send out to us. Running crazy seems to be a way of life for most people, but slowing down has its perks too.
I hope you feel better soon.
