The reading list explodes

I'm so grateful for friends and family who care about my recent bout with chronic boredom... Instead of letting me sink into vapidity, they have offered up books to complement my already ridiculously large stack of reading material.

Since I'm done with courses for the moment and awaiting approval to start my job, I honestly have nothing to do. Tiny freelance projects, menial life tasks, and everyday annoyances can't keep me busy enough. When I began to feel healthy again early this week, I started a new book. Once I was done with that, the next day I digested another. And another. Three down in four days. It's been awhile since I've had an appetite for reading left after being swallowed up by my school assignments. After I graduated I didn't even feel this crazy. I'm feeling voracious.

Here are this week's additions to my list:
The Last Lecture, Randy Pausch (sadly, he died yesterday)
A History of Reading, Alberto Manguel
The Annotated Archy and Mehitabel, Don Marquis
Arsène Lupin, Gentleman-Thief, Maurice LeBlanc

I already have a small lot of classics on the docket, a few favorites to reread, and some nonfiction titles on various issues in language... so these latest additions will help me shake things up a bit!
