"My Stroke of Insight"

This is up there on the list with "Best Books I Ever Read" and "Books I Think Everyone Should Read."

A stroke victim recovered. Not an ordinary stroke victim, but a Harvard-trained neuroscientist who experienced the deterioration of her brain function bit by bit. The way she describes the event makes it real, and the story of her recovery makes it altogether miraculous. It's inspiring to learn how she's fought back parts of her brain's former power--personality, habits, negative tics--in order to make the new Dr. Jill a better Dr. Jill.

And now I get to write a paper on this. Woo! Glad I picked a good book for this assignment. :-)
