Aunt Ida Pieces a quilt

My agenda item for Aunt Ida is how hard it is to accept people with AIDS. Even in today's society people still believe that if you touch someone with AIDS you will get it too. It disgusts me that people can be that ignorant and that uneducated. I know that some people are not that educated about this subject but understand that you can't get it like that.

I partly agree with you Jen. I think today, however, people are becoming more educated about AIDS and people who have AIDS. I think the misconception about contracting AIDS by touching people has faded away for the most part, but there are still people so ignorant out there that they still think that. I think that this ignorance is just unexcusable.

Kayla,i agree with and Amanda. There are still some people in different countries have not been educated about AIDS, infact there are alot of people outside this country. So also are there people that have been educated about AIDS and know how it can be caught and they try their best to prevent getting it. I think that people who have AIDS or any other disease should not at all be treated different in any way

I think that more people are educated today to realize that AIDS can't be contracted by touching but people still need to keep and open mind to someone with AIDS. And not just turn away from them because of it.
