Assimilation

This story is about a woman who is bored with being wed to a white man. She wants any type of relationship with men of different races. Her husband, was in love with a white woman from his past. In the end they both realize that they love each other unconditionally and never really wanted to leave each other. My agenda item: Have interracial relationships become more socially acceptable in today's society?

I think yes interracial relationships have become more socially acceptable in todays society. There are so many different relationships today that never would have been aloud years ago. It is around us so much so it has become more acceptable.

I think that interracial marriages are acceptable in certain areas and of certain families. There are many white families who feel that if their child was to marry someone of another race they will be disowned by everyone. THat is a good question, I dont think that there is an answer for that, I guess it depends on how you were brought up.

Yes i think they have become more socially exceptable. I'm sure there are some people that still don't feel right about them. But for the most part i think they are more common.

I already responded to your other agenda item but I do NOT think they have become socially acceptable in todays society. I know I've personally had a friend(white) that dated a boy (black) and they got so many looks from people it was if they were from another planet. People today like to say that "Oh yeah I don't mind see mixed couples" But they are the ones turning around and gawking...So no I don't think they have become acceptable and they won't until all races are seen equal...And that certainly hasn't happened yet.

Interracial couples have def. become more socially acceptable in today society. It used to be completely unheard of but the more and more people that do it, the more and more it becomes acceptable. Thats just how it goes with everything

I would have to say that interracial marriages have become more acceptable in today's society. However, there will always be those few people who look down on other races.
