When the Walt Disney company built the Walt Disney World in France (I think that is where one was built) I remember that it was not as successful as they has hoped it to be, so in the end it was torn down. This article depictes the force feeding of Hollywood to other cultures that do not necessarily want it there.
My agenda item: why is it that the United States does so much advertising in other countries but yet there is not as much of other cultures advertised in the U.S.?

Well I think that the United States does advertise in other countries too much, but so many are selling things over here. An example being cars, There are not too many cars being made in America. Alot of the cars are being made else where and being sold here. So the United States does sell things and advertise for other countries, but not as much as the US in other countries.

But when it comes down to it there are plenty of forms of entertainment and media from other countries but we jsut dont see it...we're a blind society
I agree with you all. Kayal this is a very good agenda item. I think it might be that some of america might feel that there are not enough good things from some other countries that should be advertised in America although, some of the things used here are imported from other countries
