Two people said my website is perfect today. Of course I don't think so. I will meet Dr. Jerz tomorrow and figure out how to get it done better!

I wrote two articles for this project. Unfortunately, limited to my writing skill, none of them has been selected to put on the website. I also tried to provide pictures for any other help for other writers, but none of them actually need things from me.

In this project, I did try to make as much effort as I can. I spent more than 8 hours working on interview, photographing, and writing. The result is depressing, but just like everything in the life will not always be successful, I accept it. On the other hand, I learn a lot from interviewing people in an English environment. On the same time, the writing also provides another chance for me to practice.

Consequently, the midterm project is another ordeal in my will-be-successful journey of America.

I know Setonian when I was in China. In that time, I considered it as a professional newspaper with its own team (as a matter of fact, it does) and cover the story for the whole aerial of Greensburg. In this case, when I first actually saw our Setonian, I was a little bit disappointed.

However, it has changed its impression for me in these months. Basically, it doesn't have a big team for its process. Actually, it doesn't even have sufficient funds for spread itself to a bigger aerial. Students get together to contribute their efforts for this newspaper. It combines their enthusiasm, passion, and love. More impotence is all of these efforts they made did not make any wage for them - they are the volunteer of writing for love; their rewarding is the experience of how to love and to know how powerful love can be.

I did not do much thing for Setionian - to quote from a girl, "He can't write, and he can't do interview too." Yes, unfortunately, I have been a useless person this semester. Nevertheless, I don't feel sad at all. In the beginning of this semester, another girl said, "I don't understand your English." Yes, my English, as the different English from most people would speak in American, is really difficult to understand when I first got here. Day by day, it changed. Now, I am happily to see most people can easily understand what I tried to say, and my English isn't the English has too much different from most people use here anymore.

I will take Media Lab next year as well. The reason is I believe as long as I keep making effort on English, on Journalism, there would be one day I can convince most people that I can write as an English writer.

For the term project for Writing for the Internet, I am making an introduction website for the information and stories about Nigeria scammers. I will collect the scamming organization's information form internet as much as I can as well of the information of this country.

So far I did not have a very legible opinion, but the draft is:

1. Use my own story as the instruction, which will be the homepage.
2. Provide quotation from other people to this scammer.
3. Give further information about Nigeria.

 

Hopefully, it will look good.

To be honestly, I did not read through this book (Don't make me think, Steve Krug). And as a matter of fact, this book is very difficult for me to understand. Therefore, I don't think I do learn something from it. Moreover, as we only did have discussion about how to do the usage ability test on class, I only know well on this part. I will try to read as much as possible in next few weeks.
