The Reporter's Notebook

I almost ashamedly admit, I had previous knowledge of a lot of the material covered in the first thirty-odd pages. As I've said a few times, I've been around the business for a few years, and though it doesn't make me a professional, it gives me a bit of a leg up.

I try to avoid using some of the "stock questions" that are listed for interviews and the like, but every now and then I've needed a question that didn't totally and completely attack or attempt to drill the subject. Pleasantries are nice once in a blue moon.

I would say it helped with organization, but it didn't really get used for that. Admirable as the attempt is, I'm probably not going to use the little blocks in there as a planner.
