As a way to conclude this portfolio, I thought I'd include somethings I've been learning as I've attended this school:
*Teachers always want to teach you more than the content of the course; take that information with you as well
(My quote my Freshman year was: "I learned so much from him... some of it was about music")
*Sometimes, no matter how hard you try; it doesn't matter how hard you try
*Find something to get you through the day, chocolate, God, the idea of your head hitting the pillow.. yadda yadda
*Sometimes life just gets in the way
*Live everyday with a purpose
*Live everyday with the intent to make someone else's life better

Harris, Remus Stories
I found it easier to read these stories if I got into character. Pretending I was telling a bed time story to Shawn (my boyfriends three-year-old).
Anyway...
I thought it was interesting how "Uncle Remus" told the story of how we all became different skin colors.. that we were once all black. Because I had always heard it the other way around, that once, we were all white and that when we seperated to live in different climates, our skins adapted to our surroundings.
What do you all think?

John Henry
In class my question was... why do we still need heros? So first off, I'm posting this in case anyone came up with anything about it after the fact...
next, I wanted to explore the idea of a hero. Here's what I came up with...............
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero
here are some articles about heros:
